Neighborhood Watch
Manor Lake Civic Association has organized a neighborhood watch program for over 25 years. This is a volunteer-run program chaired by a coordinator who acts as liaison with the County police and manages the monthly schedule.
Volunteers work in teams of two to patrol the neighborhood in cars, on bicycles, or by foot. We report suspicious activities and potentially dangerous situations (e.g. gas leak, street lights out, garage door left open, etc.).
It only takes about an hour each month to participate. Volunteers commit to patrolling the neighborhood once any time (day or night) on their assigned day. MLCA provides large magnets and a car-top blinking light to identify neighborhood watch patrol.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Board to connect with our neighborhood watch coordinator, Wendy Hoffman at sidneywendyhoffman@yahoo.com.
